If you want a smaller version, however, the Farpoint 40 consists of just the main backpack and no daypack and costs a bit less than the 55, but you will be lacking in space that you would get from the 55. The 70, on the other hand, is much bigger than both the 40 and 55 and, unfortunately, will not work as a carry-on travel bag due to its size. All three are great choices, but you need to think about the necessity and use of the backpack when you are determining which would be the best for your needs.
